What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think its amazing that its done 175k miles and is still going strong.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would if they still made a 1.9 diesel. I dont want a 1.2.

What are you likely to buy next?

Another VW. Just hope it doesnt disappoint. Having been so pleased with the current car im concerned that any future cars wont match the same standard.

Did you get a good deal and why?

It was the 50th anniversary of Gilder's of selling VW so I got £500 off from them and £500 from VW.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

The car is actually an 03 plate but not given that option on here. I wanted a small, fuel efficient car as I was commuting to work each day in York at the time - a round trip of 100 miles.

What was the dealer like?

First class. I bought from Gilder's in Sheffield.

What's it like to drive?

Wonderful! She gives her all on the motorway and even now, she isnt straining to do so. I've never driven her at a ridiculous speed (prefer to stay within the legal limits) but if I do need more power I just press the accelerator and its there. Its a very comfortanble ride.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I love it! I have been highly delighted with the mechanical side of it since I bought it. It now has 175k miles on the clock and is still going strong. Beginning to have to replace parts eg partial exhaust in Jan 2013 and new battery in Feb 14 but I consider myself very fortunate to have had the sense to buy it in 2003.

What's most practical about your car?

She is wonderful!

Difficult - I dont have a favourite. Just love the car.
