Volkswagen Polo Hatchback (2002 - 2009) 1.9 Sport TDI (100ps) 3d (05) Owner Review

120000 miles, uses no fluids (oil, coolant) between servicing, 55 mpg, and goes like a train, Bought it initially for my wife BUT my master plan was to sell my A6 2.5 Tdi estate when the kids no longer wanted to holiday with us and I would have a small lively small car. I have never regretted it, I fish so the car spends most of its life with the back seat down, suspension was replaced when worn and decent tyres (Dunlop SP Sport Fastresponse) fitted. Other things have worn over the years but they have been replaced, I had to replace the original battery last winter. The body work is excellent and the cost of the few repairs and replacements that occur is far cheaper than replacement and devaluation. During the 12 years that we have had the vehicle it has never let us down. I would not sell it because it is a diesel, but, in the current climate I would not buy another diesel.
