Volkswagen Polo Hatchback (2009 - 2017) 1.0 SE 5d Owner Review

In their own words
It was a good buy for our financial circumstances at the time. With 3 kids it amazingly got the job done. Only think I had to do was buy a roofrack and rack cage for a weeks caravan holiday day. Straight long roads it did great, inclines were painful and to get going you need to work the gears hard, but that was expected.
Never felt the love from the dealership, always felt that because we were buying a Polo we weren't quite important enough - fairly sure I got stitched on the initial deal.
The biggest mistake was taking it on a PCP deal with a real low mileage allowance, to get out of those things is a real pain and they are very unflexible if your circumstances change.
If I did this again, I would buy a Seat or a Skoda - sure you're not getting the VW badge but the Seat is sportier and the Skoda is more practical and they are all basically the same car. Great car, but there are better and cost effective competitors out there.
