Very disappointed at 38 mpg on short journeys and the car is virtually empty of property in it so it's not due to the weight. The gear box was a bit stiff but this has eased over time. The car is very comfortable. The boot size is excellent. I enjoy driving it. It accelerates nicely on the motorway. I'd advise getting the 95 bhp not the 85bhp as this would be underpowered. The car is much more solidly built than my previous car, an 11 year old Ford Fiesta. All I miss is the front heated windscreen.
