Summary
What does this car say about you?
It's in Viper Green, so people either love it or hate it. Hopefully it says doesn't fancy the typical boring choice.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
All think its a great car, if not a little to fast and expensive to run.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes and no, in a few years if i could afford a second car i'd love the R version, but for how much the car costs (getting on for 30k) and how much its costs to run (getting 25 mpg without pushing it too hard) you'd expect something that made people think 'you've arrived' a bit more.
What are you likely to buy next?
Audi A5 TDI, nice evolution to the scirocco, so build quality, coupe lines and excitement but a bit more impressive and a lot better for the economy.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£27,900
When did you buy the car?
December 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Fully loaded car for 3k less, but as with all dealers you're never making money out of them.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Stand out from the usual default choice, quiet and refined when required, hot hatch performance on country roads when desired.
What was the dealer like?
So so, forgot to include the locking wheel nut (was a problem when a tyre burst at 9pm) and mats (took two weeks to get them).

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great, comfy over pot holes etc (other than when they blow the tyre) but great down a country road, fills you with confidence and makes you push on harder.
What's it like to park?
fine with the optional rear parking sensors although the back end bulges out and two people have now hit into my stationary car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Hit a pot hole which damaged the alloy and burst a tyre, but hardly something than can be blamed on the fit and finish of the car. Everytime i get in someone else's car i notice that the Scirocco is quieter, better built, has better panel gaps etc
What's most practical about your car?
Rear seats, hard to get into but many friends have complimented how roomy they are once you're in them, can be used for proper adult use for long periods.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
DSG gearbox, amazing, never skips a beat, and when you want to go mad put it in manual; closely followed by the touchscreen sat nav (which isn't as crisp to use as it should be)
