Volkswagen T-Roc SUV S 1.0 TSI 115PS 5d Owner Review

In their own words
I have had my 1.5 tsi evo Sel for 11 months. Initially I had a few technical issues with the car net system not working which VW were slow to rectify despite 5 visits over 4 months to the dealers. The boot has loads of space with the space saver wheel & variable boot floor set to the lower level but beware as many early cars come with full size spare wheels instead of space savers which turn a very big boot into a relatively small one. VW finally changed my wheel & i’m now happy with a very big boot. The car does occasionally suffer with the ‘kangaroo’ jerking sensation in first gear when cold but this is infrequent & not an issue after the car has been running for 5-10 mins. Overall the 1.5 tsi has plenty of torque & is smooth & refined. MPG is average at 45mpg with a mix of town & motorway driving on my commute. The car drives really well & does not feel top heavy as many suv’s That I test drove did. This holds the road well, has sharp weighted steering & feels balanced when driven enthusiastically. I’m not a fan of the cheap plastic used in the dashboard but overall the fit & finish is typical VW high quality. The car looks sporty, has more technology than you could ask for, is reliable & drives well. I’d happily recommend it despite its odd one or 2 minor niggles. It’s not the cheapest amongst its competitors but test drive it next to them & compare its looks quality, & the way it drives & you’ll also probably want to pay the slight premium over its rivals
