Volkswagen T-Roc SUV SE 1.0 TSI 115PS 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
T-ROC 1.0 SE TSI We part ex our Passat. Therefor this car had a lot to live up to. The baby of the SUV family. Exterior: At first glance this is a beautiful looking car. You can buy extras for it like the exterior foot rail and sunroof, but they weren’t a necessity for us. (Didn’t want the added expense) Interior: This is a very modern looking car and very spacious. It has everything we needed and more. Some reviews are unhappy with the hard plastic dash, however this is not a downside for us. The touchscreen system is compatible with both android and apple devices. You can plug them in using 1 of the 2 USB ports. It can use the google maps function on the screen. Which in my opinion is easier to navigate than TOM TOM. Yes the screen gets fingerprints on it, but I use a spectacle cloth to wipe it over. The steering wheel is also equipped with all the buttons you need to navigate the sound system, and the speedo. Cruise Control: This is new to me. Not only does it keep the speed you have set it to, it slows down automatically when the cars in front slows down, and accelerates automatically when the cars speed up or you move lanes. Lane assist: This is a genius idea. It helps keep you within the lines on the road. Example if you are veering to the white lines (not intentionally – but we’re all guilty of losing concentration at times) it will pull you. Basically unless you indicate to move lanes it will pull you slightly. It doesn’t stop you from moving lanes it’s just a subtle way of telling you to be vigilant of your surroundings. If this is not for you, there is an option to deactivate the lane assist Handbrake: If you set the handbrake on auto, you will never need to use the handbrake as long as you have the car. As soon as you brake to a halt the handbrake is automatically put on. As soon as you accelerate the handbrake lifts. Again this is an option that you can deactivate. Lights: Set the lights on Auto, you will never forget to put lights on again. (I’ve passed many people at night where they have forgotten to put their lights on) This Option will ensure its all done for you. Parking Sensors: There are front and rear parking sensors. They are operated on the touchscreen system, regardless if the system is on or off, this is automatically operated once you are parking. Bad Points: If I had to find fault in this car it would be; the boot lifts too high and is a bit stiff. I put this down to me being too short!! And the car being brand new! I’m sure it will get easier the more times it is used. Overview: This car is the THEE best car I have had. Hard to believe at times it’s a 1.0ltr. Hope this review has given you an insight to what to expect from this amazing vehicle.
