Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace SE Navigation 2.0 TDI SCR 150PS 4Motion DSG auto 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Spent a considerable amount of time looking for particular car - i.e. SUV with 4 wheel drive and automatic ideally with 7 seats. I tried several cars to find best ride quality (including Volvo, Mercedes, SEAT, Skoda, Mazda, Citroen) and the Tiguan suited me best. Decided on SE Nav spec for Allspace DSG 4 Motion but then the problem was trying to find one that was not Black or White - VW dealers were not particularly helpful but eventually found one in preferred colour, Metallic Grey, at non-franchised dealer after several months.
Had car checked out at local VW dealer and, apart from split in one CVJ boot, which was replaced under warranty, car was found to be faultless. Have done approximately 4,500 miles since purchase, use being limited by lockdown, most of the driving being fairly local, and found the car very comfortable and easy to drive - it accommodates several grandchildren very easily with no complaints. Compared to my last car ( LR Freelander), the infotainment system is light-years away and very easy to use and to sync with my 'phone.
Fuel consumption is lower than expected during local runs but it has been in the upper 40's during the few longer runs I have undertaken. I have not had to add AdBlue yet.
Overall, am delighted with this car; it is all I hoped it would be particularly in the way it drives and its comfort. One change I shall make, when the time comes, is to swap to all-season tyres which should improve the ride quality and winter handling further.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Was looking for good ride quality and it has been fine - also like the versatility of having 7 seats - have yet to put all wheel drive to the test in decent amount of snowAbout their car
