I have enjoyed every minute of owning this car and I cannot see how it can get such a low rating in the review.
The car has been reliable, comfortable, economical, extremely practical and after 62,000 miles looks as good as new. It is still on the original disc and pads and the tyres last 25,000 on the front and 40,000 on the rear.
The surge of power from the wonderful V6 diesel makes overtaking easy on the rural roads of East Anglia.
I have driven most of the competition and the Touareg is a much better all rounder than the other German manufacturers, the only thing lacking is the badge.
How reliable do you find the car?
Fault on air conditioning pressure switch.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
A step up from my previous Volvo XC90 and Mercedes E Class. Extremely comfortable, surprisingly economical and deceptively fast in sport mode.
