Thought so at the time but since discovered extensive body repairs to the car - which are now rusting...

Trusted VW - wanted MPV-style vehicle.

What's it like to drive?
Smooth and easy, handles well and great on motorways, etc.

Have you had any problems with the car?
Gearbox "blow up" - major and dangerous failure at high speed. Internals of box disintigrated and parts punched their way out of box casing, oil drained instantly. Cost of repair £1,600. Upon extensive Googleing - very many carbon copy stories. Total disgrace and disregard to customers from VW (based upon forum browsing). DO NOT BUY THIS CAR BEFORE ASKING SPECIFIC QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS FAULT.
What's most practical about your car?
Room and space - can be used as a removal van.
