What does this car say about you?

    We have kids.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

    Practical, strong image.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No way. The dual mass flywheel is linked to it being diesel, as is the turbo. The petrol versions would probably be cheaper in the long run with less to go wrong.

What are you likely to buy next?

A cheaper brand, probably a Peugeot or Citroen.

Paid too much, but it was relatively near and the car had the spec I wanted with fsh.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed 7 seats, perceived VW reliability.

    What was the dealer like?

    What's it like to drive?

Very nice to drive, good acceleration and braking. Behaves itself well.

I find it easy, my wife not so much.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Plenty. Dual mass flywheel - its to do with the clutch, its expected to last 60,000 miles and costs £1800 (not main dealer price). The turbo went at 70000 miles, that's a £1200 job, again local garage. The Camelot needs doing every 40000 miles, that's £500 at VW.

What's most practical about your car?

    The 7 seats.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Cruise control, very useful for speed cameras and road works.
