Yes, it's been reliable and has performed exactly as required as family vehicle.

Landrover Discovery 3 or 4 (7 seats).

We got the price we expected and wanted for the car we traded in, so yes.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
VW reliability / number of seats.
What was the dealer like?
Didn't return calls when we called to book a test drive. I finally phoned 3rd or 4th time asked to speak to the Sales Manager and told him we had cash burning our pocket... He booked us in less than an hour later.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The size of the vehicle gives a smooth ride over terrible pot-hole ridden roads of Leeds. Cruise control makes motorway driving very easy, plenty of power throughout the 6 gear range.
What's it like to park?
Parking is easy, only slightly bigger than golf (built on same platform). good all round visibility, seat height adjustable so driver can sit at good height to suit most drivers.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not much... Silly electrical fault on the offside rear door preventing the door unlocking, lasted for approx. 9 months then corrected its self (?) Air-con' needed reconditioning in 2013. As a large front wheel drive vehicle, front tyres can wear quickly if driven hard.
What's most practical about your car?
7 seat flexibility. Surprisingly fuel economy, average daily use approx. 49mpg, longer journeys being carful we have returned 72-74mpg.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air-con' is needed in vehicle like this, in summer it can turn into a greenhouse.
