Economy
Value
Certainly not the cheapest but should retain value.
Costs
15,000 miles from my front tyres seems reasonable. 20,000 mile service interval is excellent with the only cost being VW Long-life oil (2 litres used/15,000 miles)

Driving
My previous Ford Galaxy always felt like driving a bus. The Touran is a real drivers car and almost as enjoyable as my MINI Cooper S.
Performance
The midrange acceleration is superb: use the 6 speed gearbox for relaxing cruising at 2000-3000 rpm and there is instant power available. The cornering ability is excellent, given the Touran's height.

No problems so far.
Image
Understated and discreet, the Touran has a classic look that shouldn't age.
Comfort
Front seats are very comfortable for long journeys whilst the square shape ensures that the rear passengers enjoy a very spacious environment.
