What does this car say about you?

Don't care really, see my write up on our 2002/52 VW Lupo ! What I would add though is that we are getting lots of positive comments, even from local youngsters who think that it is, "Super Cool", they could mean me though!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

AS I said, "Love it" and soon they will all know the "up!" as well as they know the "Lupo".

Would you buy this car again and why?

So far...A Big YES ! and...Would have no hesitation contacting "Guy" The Manager or "Lucy" the "High Flying" Sales Lady, before thinking of going local.

What are you likely to buy next?

Al most certainly a "VW", the quality and reliability is outstanding; When the time comes to replace our "VW Lupo" a VW Golf or Polo would probably do the job nicely.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, current deals are some £10000+ on this special model, this one is fully loaded, A/C, Cruise control, Leather look seats ect...I had no trade in and negotiated a great cash deal. I have not found many dealerships this good in over 40 years of driving!!!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Yes, we have owned three VW Lupo's previously, still got a 1.4 16v, just liked this "VW Up Black" so much, plus, the "VW Ridgeway" garage price and services offered was all first class !

What was the dealer like?

Truly "Excellent".......I travelled from Cornwall to Oxford not realising "Ridgeway" had two dealerships, turned up at the wrong one (Iffley)and was treated to coffee and biscuits by "Hayley" on reception whilst she contacted the Kidlington branch to come and collect me, Fantastic. "Guy" the Manager at Kidlington was "Perfect" whilst "Lucy" the Sales person was professional and friendly throughout the sales process.

What's it like to drive?

I absolutely loved this little car, I have owned and driven some stuff...Escort Cosworth at 143mph and up till recently owned a Mazda MX5 1,8is , which did everything well for me, but this little car handles well, is light on the steeringand bearing in mind its cc, performs heroically, though three or four up would change that !

What's it like to park?

Simple, the wife is short and not all that confident but she jumps into the "up!" with same enthusiasm as she does the "Lupo" which and we have owned one since 2000.

Have you had any problems with the car?

No, it's been brilliant, I drove the car home via A420 to Swindon, M4 to Chippenham, then A350 through to Mere, Wiltshire and onto the A303, A30, M5, A38 avoiding all holiday Friday traffic, doing 70mph were possible and did 200 miles on £25.00 of petrol!!!

What's most practical about your car?

My wife loves the "VW Lupo" car as it is comfortable, has great all round vision, is economical; has plenty of room and can shift, ditto the "VW up 74 bhp model".

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Air-con & Cruise control.....30+ degrees heat and Motorways were no problem !
