Volkswagen Vento 1.9 CL TDI 4d (1997/R) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Got it from a car supermarket back in 2000, at 2 years old and 26k on the clock. Price then was quite steep. Depreciation has been steep even from that point.
Costs
Insurance is high, VED is highish too. Fuel costs are very low, 650 miles average from a full tank! Still on original exhaust and brake disks!

On the road
Driving
Drives well, takes most things in its stride.
Performance
More than acceptable.

Living with it
Reliability
Just keeps going on and on.
Image
Image is now quite untrendy. Car now looks dated compared to newer models on the road today.
Comfort
Little noisy on the motorway, but that's about it.

Security and Service
Security
Never had any problems, standard fit features seem more than adequate.
Service
Very expensive main dealer service.
