Volvo 440 1.7 GL 5d (1992/J) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Could have been cheaper, paid £1000 but worth the quality feel.
Costs
Got at least 39mpg, probably a bit more on long trips. No problem finding parts.

On the road
Driving
Lovely drive, although low-mileage for age (30,000 miles and ten years old) felt new!
Performance
Surprisingly above average, good for 120mph and probably a bit more. Felt lovely cruising at 100. (On private Road)

Living with it
Reliability
Never had a problem with it...until I crashed it.
Image
Not over-stylish, but get it professionally lowered and have some Volvo Alloys put on. Very classy.
Comfort
Sturdy and comfortable "hugging" seats. Very useful seat-warmer function for winter use.

Security and Service
Security
No central-locking!! Look tough though, wouldn't want to have to break into one!
Service
No problem with finding parts, quick Volvo dealerships!
