Volvo 480 1.7 ES 3d (1988/E) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Get a lot of toys for very little money.
Costs
Not much goes wrong, BUT when brakes go on older models, rear bearing system may need replacing due to Volvo not making certain things anymore.
-
On the road
Driving
Very comfortable. Multi-adjustable seat, as with most Volvos.
Performance
Really fun. Equals most sports hot-hatches. Holds well.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Nothing bar brakes etc... and bought mine at 88,000 (already got 15,000 out).
Image
Funniest thing on four wheels. Got a lot of toys for £550.
Comfort
Back ok for space, but has fixed arm rest in middle.
-
Security and Service
Security
Someone tried to break in but didn't succeed by looks of nearside lock. Standard alarm effective.
Service
Always steer clear of Volvo dealers.
