Volvo 480 1.7 ES 3d (1989/G) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Got mine for just under £500 and was rightly a bargain!
Costs
Electrical parts can be pricey, GSF car parts do SOME stuff at good prices, for anything expensive check out your local scrappies first, they might have a blinder somewhere

On the road
Driving
Didn't like it at first, suspension a little spongy, but really lovely on long rides
Performance
It can be a little tempremental at times, check the water often! But this car holds the road better than anything i've driven! The torque feels extremely lacking, but somehow the car certainly shifts when you need it to! Superb on cruising drives

Living with it
Reliability
The computer's really helpful to stop any overheating problems that I know these cars can be notorious for
Image
I liked the looks when I first saw it, until someone pointed out how weird it was, but its grown back on me again, if nothing else, it's certainly unique
Comfort
I'm hitting this to 3 rather than 4 for the huge, awkward doors and relative seat placement! It can be weird to get in and out of at first, but once you're in, it's really nice and comfortable. It promotoes a nice relaxed driving position

Security and Service
Security
All standard on mine, Volvo alarm and locks are real awkward for theives. Besides, these cars are pretty unique and not many of them around, so it would probably be a burden to them anyway!
