Volvo 480 1.7 Turbo 3d (1989/F) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Costly when purchased in 2000.
Costs
Costs a bomb to do anything, but minor servicing on this car.
-
On the road
Driving
Very good handling for it's time.
Performance
Good acceleraton about 0-60 in 8secs with minor turbo tweaks, but top end is dissapointing.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Engine is unquestionable never missed a beat. Everything else is as poor as it gets with regards to the electrics. Massive costs to sort with five looms caused the cars ultimate demise as it became uneconomical.
Image
Looked the biz in bright red with body coloured mirrors and bumpers finished with a nice set of 15"" alloys.
Comfort
Good for an old sports car with lots of creature comforts.
-
Security and Service
Security
Lock worked ok never tried a break in.
Service
Even advice costs money with a 480 don't do it.
