Volvo 480 1.7 Turbo 3d (1994/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
This was the worst car I have ever had, it's not a sports car, nor is it any good for anything else.
Costs
Expensive to run, over £30 spent on rear brakes, and £230 on one new headlamp.

On the road
Driving
Poor performance for a turbocharged car, only 120 hp. Driving position is not the best, steering wheel gets in the way of the dashboard.
Performance
Rubbish, 120 hp is a joke for a turbo car, everything will fly past you.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Huge running costs due to Volvo prices, and too many gadgets (pop up headlamps, sunroof).
Image
Come on it's a slow Volvo pretend sports car, this will look good till everyone finds out how slow it is. Then your mates will laugh at you for weeks. You have been warned!
Comfort
I'll give the car it's due, it's not too bad in this respect. About on the same par as a Ford that cost half as much, and goes better.

Security and Service
Security
It's so ugly that no one would try to steal it ever. Well that may be the one advantage then!
Service
The cost of parts, well over £300 for new rear disk brakes, they must be mad.
