Volvo 850 Estate 2.0 SE (143bhp) 5d (1994/L) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Bought privately, can be a real bargain, particularly when high milaeage (with fsh).
Costs
Parts can be very expensive, but they don't really go wrong.
-
On the road
Driving
Handling is fine, but you have to get physical with it to rush through the bends.
Performance
Obviously 2.0 is no T5, but when revved really goes.
-
Living with it
Reliability
A few niggles (non-mechanical) but has had hard life (family owned 155k).
Image
If you live in the country, it's right up there with the Range Rover.
Comfort
Very comfortable car, seats good, but could do with more lateral support.
-
Security and Service
Security
OK, but central locking is a niggly problem.
Service
Not used Volvo dealer.
