Volvo 850 Estate 2.3 T5 CD Turbo 5d Auto (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Good value for money if you choose the right car with the right extras.
Costs
Can be costly if you put your foot down, not just in fuel but front tyres. If driven sensibly then ok.
-
On the road
Driving
Good roadholding and ride for an estate which can move quickly.
Performance
Fantastic!! Friends I have taken out can't believe an auto estate can accelerate so quick.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Without tempting fate here, no problems so far in 7 months of ownership.
Image
OK a bit boxy compared to V70, but who cares when it has better performance and comfort than most hot hatches and can carry all the kit for two young kids and more.
Comfort
Climate control, cruise control, comfy seat, good cabin space. A pleasure to sit in the driving seat.

Security and Service
Security
Standard alarm. No break ins so not tested.
Service
Local independant dealer is fantastic. Friendly staff always willing to help with any queries and servicing needs.
