Volvo 850 Saloon 2.0 GLT (143bhp) 4d Auto (1992/K) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Big, safe, rust-free car for little cash.
Costs
Volvo parts can be a little pricey.
-
On the road
Driving
Solid, comfy drive with good levels of traction. Great improvement over Volvo 740 / 760 models.
Performance
5 cylinder 20v goes well. Stong performance, given weight of car.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Only problem so far was with Dashboard control unit (covered by dealer warranty).
Image
It delivers what it says on the side of the tin. The more image concious should try a T5 or Type-R.
Comfort
Most comfy car I've ever had (includes BMW 5 series).
-
Security and Service
Security
Non-Volvo alarm fitted by previous owner. Bit too old now to steal and joyride.
Service
Very helpful, even when you are servicing the car yourself.
