Volvo 940 Estate (1990 - 1998) SE Turbo 5d Owner Review
In their own words
Brilliant car, until some idiot drove into the side of it. The repair cost is uneconomic. Still drives but needs a wing, drivers door, mirror, windscreen and osf strut assembly. Built like a tank. Would buy another like a shot, but good turbos are far and few between. The Mk2 also has a much bigger fuel tank, very useful. If you want to annoy the boy racers, burn 'em up in a Volvo turbo estate, a great stealth multi-purpose car. Spares dirt cheap (except rear lenses), ultra reliable but change oil and filter regularly and always change cam belt at correct intervals.
How reliable do you find the car?
Apart from a set of tyres, exhaust and a battery, all I have needed is a set of lower suspension ball-joints from the road humps.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Ideal car for me as a painter and decorator. Huge cargo space. Fitted a set of heavy duty rear springs (£70) which completely changed its handling. Despite the mileage it uses very little oil, unusual for a turbo.About their car
