Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I couldn't afford an Audi TT... I could of, at a push, but the TT looks very poor value next to the TT.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone loves it. They've become a bit more common, even in the short time I've owned mine. Because its got the two tone paint work, it stands out and I still get strangers stopping to talk to me about it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I'd buy another funky smaller or coupe Volvo but not the C30; Its getting too common. If I were to get another, I'd have gone for the 2.0d model instead of the 1.6d, and I'd have also upgraded the stereo to make it even better.
What are you likely to buy next?
Whatever it is, its not on the road yet.. I've got used to driving something different so. I will change the car in Sept 2010 when its two, so whatever is the latest thing out at that time... I'm thinking the new Focus Coupe and I might try to pre-order one..

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£16,495
When did you buy the car?
September 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, I paid the list price. I ordered the car in May 2008 but it wasn't delivered until September 2008 because of demand. However, when it did come it was the facelift model and came on a 58 plate rather than 08 so I couldn't complain.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Style and equipment v list price
What was the dealer like?
Ok, nothing special. Helpful but the dealership building was old, few facilities, looked tired. VW, Audi and Honda all have far nicer dealerships.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nice. You can't chuck it around but its ok, feels very solid and the steering well weighted.
What's it like to park?
Fine once you get used to it. The small back window and big lipped back bumper don't help things, but I've not hit anything and you do get used to it.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Terrible wind noise around the top or side of the drivers door, went back to Volvo for a revision to the door mirror but hasn't cured it. Nothing else as yet, fingers crossed.
What's most practical about your car?
It isn't practical. The back seats are very well designed but theres not much room back there and the boot is tiny... but I didn't buy it for it being practical.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
So many... the stereo is very good to say I didn't upgrade it - the sound is spot on, just wish it was louder because it encourages you to listen at full volume with the bass turned up. The cruise control is standard which it should be on every car and its got climate control.
