What does this car say about you?

Being under 35 (at the time), female and a bit sporty, it wasn't top of my list when I started looking. But my family have always had Volvos so I thought I'd give it a test drive. I was hooked! I think people are a taken aback when they see me behind the wheel... But I soon lose sight of their faces in the blast from the turbo...!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone who has had a lift (and those privileged few who have had a quick drive) love it, without exception. A colleague was considering getting one (T5 version) - he's now totally convinced it's the car for him!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes totally. I usually get bored of cars quick quickly and look to upgrade, but this is still bringing a smile to my face.

What are you likely to buy next?

Either another C30 or, if I get my place in the country, I might look at one of the XC versions. But for now, I'm happy with this one, thank you...!

I didnt get too bad of a deal; i Part-exed my old car and drive a hard bargain!

What was the dealer like?

Refreshingly friendly and helpful: not pushy, patronising or impolite at all.

What's it like to drive?

It's a dream to drive. It drives ok around town but really it's on the motorway when it comes alive. It glides up to the speed limit with ease and cruises happily at whatever speed you want it to. Gear shifts are smooth and cruise control is dead easy to operate.

What's it like to park?

Being short, I can struggle a bit parking 'more sporty' cars (stop the smirking, lads!) but this is fine. Visibility is good and it's pretty easy to tell where the car ends with that striking backside!

Have you had any problems with the car?

It got recalled for clutch issues but I haven't had any problems at all.

What's most practical about your car?

I've read other reviews that say the boot isn't big enough, by put for me it is ideal. I can get suitcases, dog and wellies in there so I'm happy. The seats fold down easily so if you do need the extra room, it's there. I've moved furniture, animals and relatives around, with no problems at all (once you get the hang of the odd-shaped hatch!).

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The interaction between the audio and telephone systems is fantastic. Also, I've had the iPod adapter fitted and it's well worth the money.
