Volvo C30 (2007 - 2012) D5 SE Lux 3d Owner Review

Good alternative to the bland euro boxes. Also not many around so nice and exclusive compared to your typical Focus, A3 or 1 series. . Although rear glass hatch is smallish, with the rear seats down there is more room than you would expect in the boot . Also glass hatch looks cool. Rear entry is a bit tricky, but once in the rear seats they are good. Front seats one of the most comfortable I have sat in. Good standard equipment for an older model. Ride is harder than our Focus but more compliant than my sons A3. A good compromise. Handling is neutral and sure footed. Steering is nicely weighted. D5 engine is muscular and probably better than the T5 for general motoring. Typically 1st and 2nd are short ( Diesel) but pull in 3rd through to 6th is really good. I had car from 55k to 65k with no issues. Had re-map at 65k and now on 75k with no issues. Car can now hassle an BMW M3. D5 engine reputed to be one of the toughest around. Solid car, Volvo good build quality, go's really well, exclusivity, and reliable.... whats not to like!
