Volvo C70 Coupe 2.4T 2d (2001/Y) Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
-
Economy
Value
6-month old dealer demonstrator = £4500 off new price!
Costs
A female partner on the insurance helps lower the cost. Fuel consumption poor.
-
On the road
Driving
More understeery than my previous car (318i) but corners pretty well. Appalling turning circle, however, so watch those expensive alloys on the kerbs.
Performance
Licence-losingly quick. Huge reserves of torque - lazily powerful. Needs traction control.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Steering lock stops need replacing - apparently a common occurrence. Warranty job.
Image
A Volvo that's a bit of a babe magnet, and not so obvious as a BMW.
Comfort
The most comfortable seats of any car I have driven.
-
Security and Service
Security
Alarm, immobiliser and deadlocks, plus a separate boot. Frameless windows not as resistant to attack as those with frames.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Other
Steering clunks and creaks on full lock.
