What does this car say about you?
It's very understated, bit left field. Not sure to be honest, I don't buy cars for other peoples benefit.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I've been amazed at the reactions. Seem to think it's absolutely amazing. I said I'd bought a volvo and one woman on seeing it said "wow, I did NOT expect it to look like that!".
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. It's perfect for what I was after.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly Mereces E-class convertible.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Private sale so no lying, dishonest, thieving used car dealer to deal with.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Full four seat convertible with usable rear seats. Good economy, 5 pot engine, comfort and ergonomics. Previous positive experience of Volvo.
What was the dealer like?
Seller was a decent, honest chap.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Not sporty. Engine is a bit coarse but makes a wicked 5 cylinder growl when pressing on. It feels it's weight and doesn't like to be hustled on a bendy B road. Very good indeed on wider roads, very stable at speed and very comfortable on a long journey. I don't understand the need to try and make a car like this "sporty" as it's too fat and heavy to ever be truly engaging. I have another car for when I feel the need for a blat.
What's it like to park?
Turning circle isn't great and the high tail is a pain. Parking sensors are useful. The big rear screen makes it much easier than in fabric topped convertibles. All in all not bad.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Needed a new air con condenser, which is a common fault. Other than that so far so good.
What's most practical about your car?
4 full sized seats, very few comparable convertibles offer this. Big boot with the roof up. Genuine mid 40s MPG. Ergonomics of the car are excellent.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Folding roof, obviously. Also the Dynaudio system in the Lux trim levels is absolutely superb.
