Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutely not. I had the car for 6 months and the air conditioning failed. They tried to charge me to re-fill the gas before they could find the fault and said there was no guarantee that the problem would be covered by the warranty. So I complained directly to Volvo headquarters alleging that the dealer was trying to rip me off and that I would take them to the tribunal under the provisions of the warranty. The next day the dealer called and offered to fix it free of charge. About a month later there was a fault with the stereo, which kept cutting off for no reason, it was fixed free of charge after another trip to the dealer. A month later the power steering failed, fortunately it happend as I was driving passed the dealership, so I drove it in and left it and requested a courtes

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Acceptable, until the engine cuts out on the motorway when you are trying to overtake.
What's it like to park?
Good.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes. The power steering has failed and had to be repaired, which took over a week but was under the warranty. The stereo kept cutting out but was repaired. The Air conditioning unit broke, but was repaired under the warranty after a lengthy argument with the dealer. Recently, the egine keeps cutting out and losing power at approx 60mph. The dealer have informed me that it has been repaired but it continues to happen.
What's most practical about your car?
Nothing much, as it is very expensive and uneconomical to run for a 1.6.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Centre Console.
