Summary
What does this car say about you?
Even Herbie can't speak, I don't think people assume from a volvo any preconceptions, maybe they do think I'm safety concious at best, but the car looks quick so may fight that preconception
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
No one has been rude about it, my parents tried one themselves, but my mother is small, and could not get on with the handbrake being so far from the drivers seat for leverage.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No...It's good, but apart from the interior styling, is dull to drive and only performs a function
What are you likely to buy next?
18 months of yet, so maybe a Toyota FT86... But hey, buy what you can see!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£21,000
When did you buy the car?
February 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Not really, Volvo do not discount heavily so I would imagine limited margin, plus they worked a heavy negative on the part exchange against the discount.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It was a tuesday, and Tuesday is Volvo day... That and I do a lot of high mileage for my work in my own car.
What was the dealer like?
Nice guy, I think he was a spy!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Pleasant upto 70 miles an hour, but lowered suspension and lower profile than standard car tyres do add to road noise above 70. Not confident in the bends, especially if the road is not best smooth.
What's it like to park?
Rear visibility and judging the back end is poor.
