What does this car say about you?

Old man and probably right. They do have an old man image to them but Volvo are addressing this with their later models.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Most people like it, I have a friend who wants to buy it off me but I am not willing to sell it to him due to its reliability issues.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No - reliability has been a big issue, it has been recovered three times in two years.

Volkswagen Golf 1.6 Diesel BlueMotion.

Reliability and safety.

What was the dealer like?

I was mis-sold the car - I was told it was a one private owner previously, it turned out it was a company fleet car - the dealer promised to replace the car but am still waiting three years later.

What's it like to drive?

It drives very well - it cruises very well on the motorway, the power of the engine is very good and allows putting on the cruise and forgetting any hills it will just pull up them, a little soft if you like to throw cars around corners but they are not built for this.

What's it like to park?

Large boot equals no visibility of rear end so parking assist is recommended if you are a poor at parking.

Have you had any problems with the car?

1, Both front wheel bearing hubs 2, Air con compressor 3, Internal alarm sensor 4, Sump pan cracked (no damage) 5, Alternator, belt and tensioner 6, Air in fuel system 7, Ignition key housing emergency key retainer pin wears out 8, Annoying squeak from driver's door seal 9, Keeps blowing nearside headlamp bulbs.

Safe - built well.
