Economy
Value
I got an ex-demo bargain on New Year's Eve. A new model would have been a little pricey though for what it is.
Costs
Does about 28mpg with an auto, about what I'd expect for a 2.4. Volvo servicing is rumoured to be very expensive - not been in yet.

On the road
Driving
A very enjoyable yet relaxing drive. Not as balanced as my old 3-series, but still pretty good.
Performance
This car is unexpectedly fast, especially in kickdown. However, the auto box can be a little reluctant at times, which blunts ultimate 'go.'

Living with it
Reliability
Mechanically it seems okay, but I have a lot of wobbly trim and electrical glitches that the dealer just doesn't appear able to sort out. This is a very early model though.
Image
A nice looking car and a little bit different.
Comfort
Probably the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in, and the ride is decent too.

Security and Service
Security
Seems pretty good and you can programme the behaviour of door locking/ unlocking, which is a nice touch.
Service
The dealer is pleasant enough, but seem unable to fix the problems I have reported.
