What does this car say about you?
I dread to think, but happy not to fall into the BMW Audi sterio type.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Friends are in the BMW Audi sterio type so it doesn't fit any of their comparison models in the end they just pick on volvo estate old bloke image. Family love it
Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutely - its quick safe comfortable and has proven reliable over huge distances
What are you likely to buy next?
My father's old Mercedes - but this is financial rather than car choice.

Purchased as demonstrator, so as new but with £4000 discount and lots of show off extras

Company car Opt Out scheme
What was the dealer like?
Ok but proved to be expencive for servicing

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Its an excellent diesel, so whist first gear is over in the blink of an eye and too much smoke, once into 3rd and above it pulls like a train. On the motor way 5th (top) is fexible enough to deal with most situations
What's it like to park?
Optional big wheels and tyres mean the turning circle is pretty poor. I could neer really find the corners so curbed the alloys regularly

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
It's ignition system failed once but was fixed under waranty. Otherwise 170,000 trouble free miles
What's most practical about your car?
Amazingly comfortable. I freqently drive for 4 hours and more and it always keeps me fresh.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Sterio upgrade - about 13 speakers with dolby pro logic. Best I have ever heard, no matter how much I fiddle with the settings, the factory default remains the best.
