Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not sure. What does owning a Volvo say about a person? Used to be Pie n Slippers, Tweed Jackets etc. Not so sure now though, as in recent years Volvo have used something called a 'Styling Department' instead of an architect to design their cars.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
In spite of the electrical issues, I say yes. BUT only because the later versions don't use the Miserable 'Magneti Marelli' ETM, which I understand is the source of all the problems!!?

OK Deal. Vehicle was high mileage, but had service history and is a Volvo, so.........

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great to drive. Steering is nice and light. When it's running well, it's nice and quiet. A nice place to be!
What's it like to park?
Light power steering makes it a doddle. My wife drives this car in preference to a Siecento even in town!!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Done about 120k when the Electronic Throttle Module started playing up. As these things are 'Fly-by-wire' this is a major problem, and v. Expensive to cure. In the States they gave up in the end and were getting such poor publicity that they extended the warranty on this part, but not over in this country?? Also had other electronics / sensor problems. Alarm likes to go off of it's own accord too!
What's most practical about your car?
Great amount of space, v. Comfortable.
