Volvo V40 Hatchback (2012 - 2019) D3 ES (Nav) 5d Geartronic Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I had wanted to get this car as soon as it was revealed in 2012. After finally getting one I have been fairly disappointed.
It is a great looking car with a strong smooth 5cylinder engine, but the car has numerous design flaws.
The worst of which is the harsh and bumpy ride, which even over fairly smooth surfaces makes you feel you are constantly moving up and down and can't ever relax. It seems like it was never tested or set up for UK roads.
You can't open the rear windows at mid range speed or above because the wind turbulence is so extremely noisy it hurts your ear drums.
The boot is small and there is no place for a spare wheel.
Rear visibility is very poor, due to the rising waistline design of the car. Rear parking sensors are essential.
The driver door/window creaks over bumps.
Automatic gearbox is lovely and smooth generally until you want to accelerate quickly, such as to over take or pull away from a junction when it can take a second to react.
