In their own words
Pretty reliable. Cheap road tax at £20/year. Pretty good fuel economy, at low 50's mpg average, over most recent 7,000 miles. Comfortable seats and nice to drive. Good load space with back seats folded down. Wish it had Xenon headlights. Almost rust free after over 11 years. Still looks tidy when washed. Still on original exhaust. Tyres, discs, pads, cambelt all replaced as and when required.
How reliable do you find the car?
Fault with alarm & steering column lock sorted by main dealer. Battery replaced every 3-4 years. Rear wheel hubs replaced after humming noise - DIY. Clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and starter motor replaced by Halfords. Alternator/aux belt/DPF replaced - DIY. Windscreen removed and re-glued. 3 lower control arm replacements. Aircon compressor replaced by indy.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I've driven over 90,000 miles in this car and love everything about the car except for the poor headlights. Wish I'd got a V50 with Xenons. Start stop hasn't worked for years, but this doesn't particularly bother me. Maybe if I bought new main and auxiliary batteries, this would start working again. I can't be bothered removing the front bumper to replace the auxiliary battery. Roof rails handy. I managed to fit a washing machine and a tumble drier in together, with the back seats folded down.About their car
