Economy
Value
Dear new, but cheaper than other "quality" brand equivalents. I saved £6K on new price by buying 9 months old ex demo.
Costs
Volvo servicing looks very expensive Specialists better and doesn't affect warranty if Volvo parts used.

On the road
Driving
Good drive for estate.
Performance
Not bad for a diesel, but lags behind BMW and others.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Problems with brake servo losing pressure. Main dealer response was excellent, Volvo used warranty as good as new.
Image
Can't think of a better looking small estate. It's effectively a Focus, but not so ubiquitous.
Comfort
Excellent front seats. Rear legroom tight if driver is tall. Standard equipment is excellent.

Service
See reliability notes. Cannot fault them. Very refreshing after recent bad experiences with VW dealer.

Management required reprogramming after a single start up issue. No problem since.
