I bought this car based on Volvo's reputation for reliability. So far it has been less reliable than any of the other cars I have had. Including Renault, 3 Peugeots and BMW. Very disappointing and I would not buy one again, as I have now lost all confidence in the brand.
How reliable do you find the car?
Engine warning light started coming on after about 6 months. 5 years later the problem has still not been resolved despite several visits to the dealer. At one point I was told that they knew about the problem but Volvo had no idea how to fix it. Not very reassuring. Engine has always not felt quite right. Now the clutch has gone at a cost of £1700. Sadly I think this is just the start of more problems for a car I bought as I thought a Volvo was supposed to be problem free.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
