Volvo V60 (2010 - 2018) D6 AWD Plug-in Hybrid Pure Limited 5d Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Have owned this car for just over a year, covered about 12,000 miles, really enjoying it. Genuinely puts a smile on my face.
Bad points, EV range realistically is around 20-25 miles, but then I live in a very hilly area and steep inclines eat the battery Boot is smaller than traditional V60 and you cannot fit a spare wheel init Anyone you mention that you have a hybrid is quick to point out how pointless it is... Long distance driving your basically carrying extra weight, however its possible to get 60mpg on a run sticking to the speed limits on the motorway, which considering the weight and performance I feel is pretty reasonable. Without off street parking charging is a pain along with general lack of public charging In car internet services is a bit slow to respond, however Internet radio is a nice feature and the Wi-Fi hot spot is a great addition! Its Expensive, this car only makes sense if you want one, if your buying for financial reasons I would just get the D2, will realistically have better MPG overall if doing a lot of distance driving.
Good points I commute mostly using electric only up to 15 miles, weekends often a couple of 100 miles, day today I use little to no diesel then weekends mainly run on diesel. AWD on demand 0-60 is just under 6 seconds yet it can average 70+mpg with ease There is something special about driving a car in near silence, only people who have tried cars capable of driving purely on electric will understand, very relaxing. Toys, Additive cruise & memory seats along with a great sound system £0 tax if you get one before 2016 Come from a D5 S60, find tyre wear much better on this model which is a real surprise Adaptive headlights are quite memorising to watch
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Its changed my driving a lot, i'm a lot calmer behind the wheel, even with a car that is capable of sub 6 second 0-60 I find i'm much more relaxed driving this than anything else, a little disappointed with MPG, but I knew before buying it that any hybrid MPG is a complete joke in the marketing departmentAbout their car
