Economy
Value
Bought £22,500 new. I consider it expensive but I will keep the car 'til it has serious failure.
Costs
High service costs, range between £200 and £600 (80k cambelt service). 41mpg during high speed motorway cruising. Front tyres do at least 20,000 miles and because they are not low profile they cost about £65 each for the common makes (Michelin more).

On the road
Driving
Stable, fairly quiet, would not take car out for the enjoyment of driving it though.
Performance
Good, especially high speed motorway / overtaking.
-
Living with it
Reliability
180,000 miles with no problems except new bits for aircon in 2003 £350.
Image
Some think they are smart, others think they are huge tanks - but it's really the same size as Mondeo estate.
Comfort
Comfortable for all, but driver could do with a little more legroom (I am 1.95m). Typical noisy diesel round town.

Security and Service
Security
No problems except occassional alarm for no apparent reason.
Service
I trust the careful service I have received from local Plymouth dealer, though I have spent a total of £5500 just on routine servicing at the dealer. Difficult to find an independent locally who can do all the items on the checksheet, especially 'diesel timing'.
