Summary
What does this car say about you?
My wife says 'Old Bloke', but then, I am. I'm not sure really. I wouldn't say it's a 'woman's car', but I see plenty of women driving them.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I had a small Merc before, and they loved that. I didn't. My daughter, however, thinks it's great when she puts her greyhound in the back!
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, I would like something that goes over the bumps without the worry of the suspension collapsing. It probably won't, but it sounds like it will.
What are you likely to buy next?
I fancy a Chrysler 300. I know they get slated by 'Top Gear', but not by anyone who owns one. I've come to the conclusion that if Clarkson hates it... it must be worth looking at.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
On the motorway, I need the wife to keep waking me up it's so comfy. In town it's quite a handful, and the ride doesn't like scrabbly roads. Turning circle is abysmal, and it's so wide that you need two spaces so you can get back in.
What's it like to park?
I'm an experienced truck driver, so I don't have too much trouble. I always use the mirrors. However, I would imagine it might be more difficult for an ordinary everyday driver, especially if they are not tall, as the door shoulders are high and it's difficult to see what's beside you. Plus, the usual 'A' pillar is very thick and you find yourself diving around to try to see round it.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Where do I start? The suspension is a nightmare. So many thumps and creaks and bangs, yet no-one can find out what's wrong. I've had lots of new arms and wishbones and bushes, but nothing has cured the feeling that it'll fall apart on the next speed hump. steering goes where it likes. The turning circle is more ocean-going barge than car.
What's most practical about your car?
Comfortable ride and the enormous load space with the back seats dropped.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Those super-comfortable heated leather seats. Absolute dream. Two settings... HOT... and ...INCINERATION. Rear passengers have to do without, meaning I get an earful on a cold day. I often get to work before realising I forgot to turn the heater on. Cruise control. Dolby Pro-Logic surround sound.
