What does this car say about you?
Not sure...middle aged family man, nothing wrong with that. I do have the feeling that other road users give me less 'free passes' than when driving the Vectra....
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They really like it, the comfort, the looks, the drive! Everyone likes the colour (the same as the Parkers V70 picture).
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes but the petrol is quite thirsty (22mpg on average but mainly urban). A bit of a shock after having had a diesel. Perhaps next time a D5 diesel?
What are you likely to buy next?
I'd like another V70 but wouldn't mind an A6 and the Saab 9-5 estate is always nice...

Did you get a good deal and why?
They gave a good price on the Vectra and the V70 was in a perfect state, low mileage and good price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Always wanted this iconic estate, when our Vectra estate had hit 100k, I had a reason to get one.
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly and not pushy, seemed quite fair.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very solid on the road, the noise of the 5 cylinder is great but not intrusive but when accelerating hard gives a lovely growl.
What's it like to park?
A bit big as expected...no parking aids but a towbar might protect the car if needed...better on your own drive than the supermarket parking area.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No. A squeaky noise turned out to be dust in the brakes but that was quickly remedied. Only had it for 6 months and hope its quality will last us for several years to come.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is quite big. You can also flatten the passenger seat which means you can put 9 feet long stuff in the car!!!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The heated (front) seats! Absolute favourite this winter! Haven't used the winter option for the automatic but that seems a nice gadget to try one day.
