What does this car say about you?

I live in Hampshire and have a yearning to buy a grandfather clock to justify my purchase.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

All seem to like it but think it is too big.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, running costs are high. Franchise servicing in Hampshire has been monopolised by one dealer. Reliability has not lived up to the Volvo reputation.

What are you likely to buy next?

Would like a 5 series estate but not sure if I could live with the BMW driver image.

Did you get a good deal and why?

The car was relatively cheap for the age, this is because it is both petrol and manual which is unpopular for a V70. Manual is my preferred choice and I compromised with a petrol engine.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed a large car for family holidays.

What was the dealer like?

Dealer was friendly but need haggling. The car was prepared well and on time.

What's it like to drive?

Very fast for its size and very smooth with the shocks in Comfort setting. Due to its size handling isn't brilliant even in the Sport setting.

What's it like to park?

For such a large car it is OK, the rear parking sensors help as they are accurate and quick to respond.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Sub-frame bushes needed replacing under warranty (known issue). Rear powered tailgate failed out of warranty - now operating in manual mode. On the rare occasion the Sat-nav fails to pop up.

What's most practical about your car?

Space and ease of folding flat rear seats.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

4C selectable shock absorbers.
