In their own words

Live near the top of the Pennines and used to have major difficulty in a front wheel drive Audi A4. The Volvo isn’t as nimble a handling car as the Audi was, but it’s so much more relaxing to drive, so comfortable and completely able to handle loose surfaces, ice, snow and all the challenges of winter Pennine motoring. There are a couple of areas which aren’t perfect, of course. Fuel economy is poor, with local driving struggling to hit 25mpg. It will, however, outperform the Audi on a long motorway journey getting in excess of 40mpg on a long haul. Load space is excellent and there’s all the room I’ll ever need. The driver aids make it a simple and effortless car to cruise around in. It’s not a car for the driving purist - if you want to set a fast lap of the Nurburgring then you might want an M5, but I feel so much calmer driving this. Worth doing a job on the options list - things like the panoramic roof make the cabin light, airy and beautiful, but the light leather interior, despite looking gorgeous attracts everything my 4 year old throws at it!
