Volvo V90 review (2022)

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

Car looks great inside and out. Tax efficient and comfortable on a run.

Build quality isn’t up there with the Germans though and this sorely lets it down.

Incredibly fast though, especially with a fully charged battery.

You never get 25 miles on electric only from a full charge, even when driven very gently.

How reliable do you find the car?

Never actually broke down, but a number of faults you would hope not to experience. DAB worked when it wanted to - even in the same area and in the city; steering wheel buttons required a hefty shove to make them work; multiple squeaks and rattles from the interior trim. Interior feel is luxurious- initially, with wonderful soft leather, great gadgets such as cooled/massaging seats, but the transmission tunnel trim squeaked like mad, as did the door trim. Speaker failed too.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Beware that, without the active 4-C CV chassis, the ride around town is horrific. Smooths out at higher speeds though. Steering is as numb as could be and the brake feel is horrible - quite dangerous is some situations as it’s hard to brake suddenly amd controlled.
