Volvo XC70 (2007 - 2016) D5 (215bhp) SE Lux (06/13-) 5d Geartronic Owner Review

Good points: Solid car, plenty of room and toys to play with, comfy seats. The built-in child seats a nice touch. Engine makes a good noise when under pressure. Poor points. Remarkably thirsty! Worse than our petrol GTi. Handling pretty wallowy and vague, trade-off for the comfort. Bought through Volvo Selekt at a year old and subsequently quoted at £1,000 repairs required to rectify previous poor repairs we didn't know about. Volvo washed their hands, Selekt does not seem to bring any benefits and now worrying what else has been done to the car. Was planned to be long term keeper family car but losing confidence and will probably sell on.
