Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not flash, safety conscious, family man who needs a large boot.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
The best car I've owned - although they do call me granddad as it's a beige Volvo!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely. It is everything you could ever want in a car - comfortable, smooth, safe, pretty, practical, 4-wheel drive, high ride-height, and relatively economical.
What are you likely to buy next?
Volvo XC70.

No

£27,000

September 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Managed to negotiate 3k off the list price with a trade in - not sure why, but maybe because the fuel economy isn't astronomical??
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Expecting twins, so needed a safe, reliable, comfortable car with a big boot.
What was the dealer like?
Superb - Ray Chapman of York.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The most comfortable car I have ever driven. Of course it isn't the most agile of cars around corners, but it is like you are floating.
What's it like to park?
Easy - front and rear sensors and no low-profile tyres. Also, the car has a very square back, so you know where the rear end is.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No.
What's most practical about your car?
Load area - massive 815 litres, securing rails, aluminium luggage guard and a powered tailgate.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Active xenon headlights - they really light up the road, and bend round corners.
