Economy
Value
Much better value than Mercedes and BMW similar SUVs and it had everything included. The only extra we bought were rain sensors. We expect to get a good trade in for it.
Costs
We have a diesel and use 9 litre per 100 kilometers (driving in Europe) our old Honda CRV just drank petrol so with the diesel being much cheaper in Europe we are saving quite a bit.

On the road
Driving
Firm, smooth and quiet drive, surprisingly easy to park despite its size, but the dash is so large that you can't see the front so the parking sensors would have been a good extra
Performance
When I did the test drive I nearly got stopped by the police. I wasn't expecting such a huge tank to accelerate so quickly. Drives like a dream on the autobahn

Living with it
Reliability
We had the car one year and the only problem is when the computer that governs the central locking went berserk. The garage rebooted it and its fine. No other problems.
Image
Since we had this car so many people stopped us to admire it, ask about it and generally look around. This car has a good design, has lost the boxy old Volvo looks and we think it's nicer than all its competitors
Comfort
Typical comfy Volvo heated and adjustable seats so even with a bad back you can get comfortable. The back is huge so we get a lot of envious looks when we go to the garden centre. Nice solid materials and conveniently place controls.

Security and Service
Security
Difficult to tell as I never tried to steal a car
Service
We also received a feedback questionaire so they are interested in what the customer thinks about the dealer
