Yugo 45, 55, 65 & Tempo 1.1 3d (1989/F) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Even £100 wasn't cheap enough.
Costs
Lots of garage bills.
-
On the road
Driving
I hated the car so much I tried to kill it. I eventually succeeded.
Performance
Read a Russian novel in between moving away from the lights and changing into second gear.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Whatever can go wrong will go wrong.
Image
Being seen in one will ruin your image completely, but thankfully I never had that much street cred to begin with anyway.
Comfort
Seats are like concrete. Passengers act as shock absorbers.
-
Security and Service
Security
I used to park it overnight in some dodgy places with the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition. The next morning it was usually the only car on a strangely empty street.
Service
I found an ex-Yugo dealer. The people working there are just as unreliable as the cars.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Blew.
Other
Possibly the world's worst car, but thankfully there are very few left running.
Ownership
Did you buy the car new?
Used
Would you buy the same model again?
No
Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?
No
